University Technology Incubator of STU - InQb

University  Technology Incubator is a department of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, which aims its activities are to support start-ups. Incubator supports newly created businesses by more favorable lease at lower prices than normal market prices as also package of additional services. The aid is intended for all candidates who have not yet established firms and entrepreneurs who founded their company only recently.



University Technology Incubator of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava was established with funds from the EU funds under Development Grant Scheme Innovation and Technology - INTEG (PHARE CBC Slovakia - Austria). For the first time its premises in the building at Pionierskej street in Bratislava were opened on 28th of November 2005. The incubator is located on the third and on the second floor of a building with a total area of 1800 m2. Office space for rent, to be young companies is 866 m2. Companies can rent an area of approximately 15, 30 and 47 m2.

 

The aims of the incubator are:
- Support the economy, which is based on knowledge
- tie the science, research and innovation with business practice and thus enhance the competitiveness of the region and contribute to the objectives of the Lisbon Strategy.

The mission of the incubator under the scheme INTEG is to promote technology transfer and innovation in the region so that it will support the creation of new technology companies.

Incubator vision is to become the key institution for the promotion of technology start-ups, innovative companies in the Bratislava and Trnava region.
