Projects implemented in University Technology Incubator

Project from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), OP Research and Development, implemented in the years 2014-2015:

 

Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU) implementedv EU project, ERDF OP Research and Development - University Science Park STU Bratislava (ITMS project code - 26240220084). University Incubator UVP, which has been part of this project was created as supported department under University Technology Incubator InQb. In this project, University Technology Incubator was tasked to implement activities 3.1 The program called for the mobilization of innovation particularly through start-up and spin-off projects.

The aim of the activity was to stimulate the development and use of innovative ideas into practice by supporting the creation and development of innovative new technology companies. This will improve the competitiveness of the Bratislava Region through effective stimulation and subsequent development of human resources in research and development and transfer of knowledge from academik to practice.
The aim of work was to streamline the search for new innovative ideas for the creation of start-up / spin-off companies in university environment from its own students and staff.

As part of this program were carried out the following activities, which took place between April 2014 and June 2015:

1. Open Days
2. General information workshops
3. Expert seminars
4. Training programs aimed at improving the business skills
5. Business plan competition
6. Establishment of the Office of University Incubator UVP at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (FEI STU). The office is located on the ground floor in Block D, room DP01.



 Project from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) realized in the years 2009-2012:

Incubator implemented the project from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) - Tools for international support innovation in the region Centrope (Tools for Transnational Innovation Support in Centrope). Short name of the project is centrope_tt. The project was approved under the Operational Programme of Central Europe. The implementation period of the project was from 1.1.2009 to 31.12.2012. On the project collaborated 16 project partners from the border areas of four countries - Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary.

The project implemented the following activities:

  • creating a database of scientific and research institutions in the region of Centrope
  • training courses - training fot Technology Transfer Managers
  • provide Innovation Vouchers to 5,000 for small businesses that can be used to ensure that research in the framework of international cooperation with scientific research institutions

Projects from the European Social Fund (ESF) carried out in the years 2006-2008:

1. The effective transfer of research into the commercial sphere:
Activities within the project: providing expert advice for a specific target group - incubated companies and trainees in the start-up office. This was an accounting, tax, legal, marketing consultancy, consultancy in the field of EU funds, advice on advertising on the web.
During the whole period of the project were provided advisory services to 26 people from 15 companies incubated and 3 persons who participated in the incubator program start-up office. Participants of the project increased their competence in carrying out the business. This led to the improvement of business management.
The implementation period of the project: 1.4.2006 - 31.7.2008

2. International Conference - Technology Incubator:
Activities within the project: an international conference and pre-conference workshops, which were attended by budding entrepreneurs, investors and representatives of R&D institutions and institutions to promote business.
The implementation period of the project: 1.4.2006 - 31.7.2008

3. Support of cration innovative companies in University Technology Incubator:
Activities within the project: the selection of people with innovative ideas (creating four general and two specialized seminars - on the incubator, setting up companies, development companies, etc.) And their training - implementation of training aimed at improving entrepreneurial skills. Subsequently, support for the creation of innovative technology companies and their location in University Technology Incubator STU (evaluation of business plans from the target group and selection of the best one). As part of the project it was submitted 18 business plans of which were received 6 innovative companies.
Supported activities of the project was the organization of seminars on topics of intellectual property rights, providing advice on intellectual property and industrial rights, prediagnostics brokerage companies in the incubator. Pre-diagnostics carried out free of the Industrial Property Office located in Banska Bystrica.
Also, the project has been provided for management consultancy firms.
